how pathetic is it when you have a good to great team in the rays on ESPN and a guy throws a no hitter in front of more fish in the outfield tank then fans in the stands. its so bad when you have a game on tv with no fans and not to mention that when they were in the world series in 08 that stadium was packed which makes them even more pathetic. BANDWAGON FANS AT ITS FINEST down in florida. at least the marlins stay consistant and never have fans no matter what game it is

Well according to jeffy and others, the Rays aren't doing a good enough job selling revenue, and if they tried harder they would be able to fill up the seats and get more money to be able to afford their young players when they become free agents.

Or it could be that Florida is just not a baseball state. Ask the Marlins.

its stadium location. its in st pete so its a commute for people in tampa to go to games. i try to go to a few a month. if they were in tampa instead of st pete id probably be at a few a week.

traffic in st pete sucks as well. lots of one way streets.

not to mention this was a monday game, not the weekend.

So what are those teams supposed to do? Move and have no teams in Florida? Or just deal with it and not be able to afford top players because even when they win they can't sell tickets.
