Honestly, I don't think there is any way to compare Ruth to a player from the 50's to a player in the 70's, etc, etc.
With that said, I am partial to Willie Mays. Speed, defense, power, avg. Say Hey!!!

I never saw any of the old timers play. But from highlights and stats, gotta say Mays.
