I'm trying to find some information on some baseball statistics for an econometrics project for school and was hoping some of ya'll could help me. I've been out of the loop on baseball lately due to football and the world cup so all help would be appreciated.

It's on the success of the idea of money ball so I'm trying to find stats that rate players by their position giving a monetary value to how much their worth. Also i believe there was one about how many more game a year a team wins because of them. And any other unusual or helpful stats you can think of besides the obvious of slugging percentage and on base percentage.

Well. Your best bet is fangraphs.com. Not only does fangraphs have a statistic called WAR (Wins over Replacement Player) which will tell you how many wins a player is worth over a replacement player (essentially a slightly below average player) which takes into account defense, hitting and position (hitting well as a catcher is valued higher than a 1b because so few catchers and so many 1b hit well). It also gives a monetary value of that player.

I know it's called saber metrics I just couldn't think of the name of those 2 stats I was looking for. Are there any other stats you can think of that would be helpful or aren't usually used.
