Players to watch

Just as the title suggests, this is a topic for the tournament's players to watch.

Be it because of NBA interest, be it because they're great prospects, or great overseas players.

A small list for me:

Timofey Mozgov (because of the Knicks)

Nick Calathes (he will explode in this tournament if he gets some of Spanoulis' minutes)

Ricky Rubio (he's very creative PG and is very similar to Calathes. I'd love a potential combat but Spain lacks PGs while Greece usually uses 3 each time so I doubt we will)

Rudy Fernandez (I really want to see how distracted he is from the Portland story)

Tiago Splitter (just enjoy his game)

Luis Scola (same, really enjoy his game)

Milenko Tepic (I want to see him in the role he feels more comfortable)

Goran Dragic (Slovenia's leader given that Becirovic is getting older and there's no Smodis or E.Lorbek)

Roko Ukic (similar to the above, I think he will have a nice tournament)

Dimitris Diamantidis (best defensive player in Europe for 5-6 years now, he can really do the damage to opposition if he's on form and can also be an efficient shooter, but he's pass-first)

Carlos Arroyo (we'll see if Puerto Rico can go as far as they expect with Arroyo being their leader)

Aleks Maric (plays for Australia, I think he can be a beast following an amazing season with Partizan)

Linas Kleiza (really the only Lithuanian player that is worth mentioning. Too bad for this great basketball nation. The rest are not as good as those who could have been there instead)

Viktor Khryapa (really Russia's best chance to go far in the tournament. If he and Bykov perform well, with Mozgov's presence at center, they could go further than expected)
