Hawks walk away; arbitration set at 2.75 mil -- Niemi a UFA(post 28)

niemi was awarded a 2.75 mil salary by the arbitrator... do the hawks sign him or pursue a different option? if they dont sign him where does he end up?

i'm not sure they'll bring him back. right now their 400k over the cap. they still gotta bring in a few more guys to have a roster. but i guess since huet is gonna get waived they'll bring him back

Match him and send him to Montreal for Carey Price's rights, lol, when the hell is Price signing, anyone know? Seriously, I figured with Halak gone he'd be signed by now...

I think at this price there is a market for Niemi.

Problem is, it might not be a good enough price for the Blackhawks.

I had the over/under at 2.4 Million, so I think he is gone, I just hope we get something for him in the process.
