Question about tickets

Hey guys. I'm not actually very much of a hockey follower (but the Rangers are one of the 3 teams I always picked on NHL video games

)

I really enjoy the game but where I live, we don't even have snow so you can imagine how much we know about the game first hand. I only watch 1-2 playoff games every year since there's limited broadcasting of the sport.

Here comes the question.

27 of December the NY Islanders @ NY Rangers. I assume it's a pretty huge clash and it should sell out. Question is, can I get tickets online? And how high are prices for good seats? (doesn't really matter, but have to ask)

Never been to a hockey game before and I'm probably gonna be in New York those days so I can't miss this opportunity.

As I'm not from NY, or live in the USA, it has to be online, bcoz by the time I get to NY there will be no tickets for the game I guess. It's the only home game I will be able to attend, so it's this one or 2-3 years from now...

You can try Ticketmaster.com. You can get them through Stubhub.com, there is a 15% charge on top of the price. The only problem with them is if its a sell out game like that is sometimes tickets are above normal price. Ebay is always a possibility.

Also, you can try to google that game and sometimes you'll find a good deal. I know when I went to Buffalo to watch the Rangers vs Sabres in the playoffs, most of the tickets we found were priced at $125 per ticket for all the way upstairs. However, we found a steal by googling it and paid $150 per ticket and sat first row on the glass right off the goal line.

Thanks

When is the latest I could get tickets for that game? Being in the holidays I'd presume they are being bought as we speak.

I'm not sure if they have released the tickets yet. I am a season ticket holder, so I already have my tickets, however, Im sure that resale ticket sites, like Stubhub, will have them in November possibly even December. Many of these tickets can be electronically mailed to you so this way you don't have to spend the money to have them shipped to Europe.

I personally love the 300 level seating good view of the whole ice and priced around 56 a seat. I'm in 304 and every time the Rangers score there is an older season ticket holder who lets you know how many career goals the scorer has as well as how many as a Ranger. Definitely worth a section worth sitting in if you can find seats there.
