You have a point. I say the contract will get scrapped but he'll stay with the Devils.

This is what I think. I think Lou is just gonna go with a 16 year deal and go down the list until they accept one...coming next will be a 16 year deal worth 100 million. Then will be a 15 year deal worth 98 million and so on and so on until the league accepts lol.

If the Arbitrator scraps the contract then Kovie is a UFA once again and the whole "where will Kovie go" will start all over again.
I do believe the NHL did this not to necessarily stop the Kovie contract but to set a precedence against these type of contract. And I do believe that this contract will go through as it would mean the CBA is useless and it will likely be the start of another lock out season. Just my humble opinion though and we will all know better tomorrow.
