I think it's too late for that now. But I think this Kovy thing will lead to future contract negotiations not being able to be done as easily, because now more than ever will teams be wary of "circumventing the cap", and I think the NHL will be mroe strict from now on.

Agreed.
I will be very surprised if any of these "additional" contracts under review get voided. I think it is possibly just a scare tactic to let the teams know that the league is serious (obviously they are, after voiding Kovy's contract). Also, I am pretty sure, that while it might not matter, that most of these player's had their contracts go under review last year as well.

We're better off without him or him making less, who care's about the cap hit it's high enough at 5 mill he's pocketing 10 mill this year, this makes me sick, gillis is awesome but overpaid for luongo, malhotra and kessler

There's no way they will void the other contracts. The GM's of those teams would have to make additional cap moves that they could have not have forseen.

I think the only one they MIGHT be allowed to look into is Bobby Lu and maybe Marc Savard's because neither have started if I'm not mistaken. If they were to do it they would have to give the teams some sort of window you would think but at the same time they are probably more looking to punish the teams for the bad contracts.
I think they are just making a point that they wont allow these anymore. They wont touch those contracts.

As a devils fan I'm pissed. Investigate ALL of these contracts. Total crap! Conspiracy against the devils.

Canuck general manager Mike Gillis confirmed in an email to the Vancouver Sun Monday night that the league is indeed studying Luongo's 12-year, $64 million contract.
"We have complied with the NHL request for information and are awaiting further instructions," Gillis said. "Cannot say anything further at this point."

"We are cooperating fully with the League in its investigation of the Marc Savard contract extension. The League informed us upon their registration of the contract December 1, 2009, that they would be investigating the circumstances surrounding this contract. From that point on, they commenced their investigation and it has been ongoing.
"On August 4, I met with two League appointed lawyers as part of the investigation. We will continue to cooperate with the League in any future investigative proceedings if necessary and we will have no further comment on the matter at this time."
It's no joke if they are spending the money and resources to send out lawyers
