Peter Forsberg could be making a return to the NHL.

According to the Denver Post, the former league MVP is considering a comeback. Forsberg, who turned 37 last month, has been out of the NHL since the 2007-08 season, when he played nine games with the Colorado Avalanche.

The Swedish forward has been plagued by foot injuries and suited up in only 26 games the past two years for Modo of the Swedish Elite League.

Forsberg, who is an unrestricted free agent, could return to the Avs but is reportedly more likely to land with the Rangers, Capitals or his former Flyer club, with which he played for a season and a half from 2005 to 2007.

He would be a great addition to any team if he can stay healthy.. If he does go to the Flyers than I believe they are only a goalie away from returning to the Cup.. But again we have heard of him returning a few times.. Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear they say...

Forsberg is a shell of his former self. Not worth a roster spot, IMO.

In other news, I heard on a Sketchers commercial that Joe Montana was making a come back. I think he'd be great on the Argos! haha

If you said 5 years ago that a team could take a run at signing Forsberg, ida told you it was a bad idea then too. There isn't a snowballs chance he could make it through an 82 game season (or even 40 games for what it's worth)+playoffs.

What else is new. Does Forsberg even still got it? He only played a total of 26 games in two seasons in the SEL, I would not take a chance.

Five years age he had 75 points in 60 games, I would say he was worth a roster spot then. Now, maybe not, but he was still very good back then.
