The Pacers are reportedly trying to trade swingman Mike Dunleavy and poing guard T.J. Ford.

They're trying to get a veteran point guard, but Dunleavy's salary ($10.5 million this season) might be tough to move. Ford is basically dead to Jim O'Brien, leaving rookie Lance Stephenson as the current starter at PG. Teams are most interested in Troy Murphy, but it no longer sounds like the Pacers want to move him given injuries to several other big men. Stay tuned.

I was thinking if they are expiring contracts they should be able to get someone good.

I think they are expirings, but Ford's actual value should be very low.

Yup if they take back an awful contract as well. ex: Brand (doubt any GM would risk his job doing this), Okafor, and smaller ones like Posey, Nocioni, Udrih, Carroll, Vujacic.

Yea I was thinking maybe a team trade a longer contract that sucks for him and then cut him. He could be a back-up a couple of teams though just not a starter. I like Dunleavy and Murphy though. Great players for a team like Boston or San Antonio.
