the magic question is what can this guy really do.

i have watch gallo since he has been a knick. I have heard he can do a ton of things that i just havent seen.

the list of so called talent includes playing pg sg center and goes a lot further .

i dont agree

lets all put our heads together and figure out what the kid can actually do. videos welcome to support your argument. no player comparisons or ceilings. we are talking simply about actual performances not potential performances..

An elite second option is what he should be on our team this year.. Three threads and right on cue the only one that has a negative side is gallo. Blunt reality is he's an elite three point shooter, and has expanded his game peice by peice at the NBA level. He should thrive even more with the better talent around him. Amare and Felton at the minimum will draw attention and increase his open looks.

He showed that he has a great iq and is a good TEAM defender. Cuts of the baseline and uses angles really well to make up for his average athleticism. Makes the right plays on offense more often than not. And has shown the ability to compete against the better competition. Gets up for challenges instead of shying away from it. Amare is the leader, Felton is the x- factor and Gallo is the Glue to this team if we are gonna compete for the playoffs. If he comes in this year in better physical condition I don't see why he won't improve on his numbers from last year. I think the totals will go up slightly only because we have more depth

But he should be way more efficient percentage wise. His impact will be enormous on how we win games as a unit more than individual accolades.

Bad...you know how I feel about Gallo and again, one of the topics we will never come to a conclusion to. Gallo is a complete player and has given us heart, leadership, big time shots, and this after a back injury and only one full season. Handles needs improvement and needs more consistency and a bit more bulk and stronger legs, but this is all things that can be worked on and corrected. When his three point game is on, its a dagger and when people have to respect it and if they over play him, he will take it to the whole strong. He is a keeper on any team and part of the core of AR, Gallo, STAT, and Will.

Again, though, if Melo does come, one of him and Will are expendable. But again, I keep all three because they all can cover multiple positions.

I have always liked Gallo, but the best thing that he can do is get us Melo.

Gallo creates mismatches because of his size and is capable of offensive explosions like he did against Melo. His drives and his inside game is awkward. But he needs to drive so that the defense can't afford to play him tight at the 3 pt. line.

I do not see him as a person who can create his own shot, but he can thrive with a good PG and a good post player like Amare. It's a nice symbiotic relationship where both Amare and Gallo can make each other better.

Gallo is an intelligent defender, but he does not have the physical ability to be an athletic defender. Intelligence can take you a long way defensively, but lack of lateral movement is lack of lateral movement.

I see Gallo as a Bill Bradley player. He and DeBusshere were not the most athletic front court, but they were the smartest. While I would like to keep Gallo because he makes the team better, if the right deal came along, aka Melo, then, that's the way it goes.

Gallo (aka the Italian Larry Bird) can shoot outside, post up inside, dunk, block some shots, rebound, play unselfishly, dance and sing.

He hits 3 pointers well

He actually uses frame/length to play defense

He is a good free throw shooter

A good transition player on the fast break - whether its for a spot up 3 or layup/dunk

Things from his game we saw but not enough of were

Posting up

Breaking down the defense driving in

Other than that he has a lot to work on to be a consistent offensive player.

His handle is out of control but for whatever reason he is able to get to the basket when he does it against bigger bodies.

He should be posting up more often but he tends to fade away even if its against smaller players, I think he is trying to emulate Dirk a bit too much but that;s my opinion.

His rebounding isn't bad, he actually boxes out which gave Lee a handful of his rebounds when Gallo and Lee were left in the linep. Does need to bulk up.

In short offensively he only has to work on developing a mid range game and refining his post moves.

Defensively he just needs to get a stronger frame to be a presence in the paint if he does plan on playing PF but he is a pretty solid man to man defender and strong side defender which shocked me (most of his blocks weren't weak side help)

That's what Gallo can do.

will him trade in heartbeat for melo people gallo is aka Italian Larry Bird u must be smokking that crack

Every Knick is overrated so I fail to see your point.

He played 29 games because of injury, then only missed like 1 game last season. I fail again to see what your saying.

If trading Melo requires Danilo it will happen, actually if that report is true he was the first name popped up in trade. So yeah........
