I know we recently had a thread about Lakers flaws but I want to see what worries people have about the Lakers this upcoming season...
1) How is Kobe's health? They say his knee is healing well but what about the finger? I am worried about his health in general, he has a lot of miles on his body and is only getting older. Can he shut up the critics that are saying he is leaving his prime?
2) Andrew Bynum- Can this be the season he stays healthy? He has the ability to make the all-star team if he does not get injured but so far, he can't stay out of the trainers room. We will definitely need our size if we want to complete this 3-peat.
3) Team Chemistry- Adding Barnes can either be a a great move or an absolute screw-up. The guy definitely adds some grit and when paired with Artest can really give other teams a hell of a problem but can he stay focused. Will Steve Blake be able to play well off the bench? If Bynum or Gasol goes down, can Ratliff play big minutes at his age? Is their any lingering problems with Odom and Barnes. We have 3 players who have been known to have a couple problems, Odom, Artest and Barnes... how will they act together?

1 kobes
finger and mileage.
2 bynums helath, i would really try to trade him this season for Cpaul or Melo or whatever.
3 artest , now he has a ring he may lose concentration and go back to wilderness.

Bynums health
Kobe has already shown he can play at an elite level with his finger banged up.
Ron Artest is hungry for more and Kobe wouldn't even let him lose focus for one second of he will get an earful from the Black Mamba and the Zen Master.

1. Bynum's Health
2. Kobe's amount of shot attempts. The pick n roll worked last year, he should add that to his game. Perhaps he should ask a legendary pg how to do it. (ala hakeem lessons)
3. Consistency. I fear that the Lakers have and always will play down to their opponents' levels.

1. Bynum's health
2. Bynum's health
3. Bynum's health
We know that Kobe at 75% is still capable of giving us 30 a night and playing great D, so I ain't worried about Kobe one bit.
Over the last 3 years, we haven't really had Bynum in the playoffs yet still made it to the finals. We had Bynum on one leg for most of the playoffs and won last year. If he is 100%... wow. No team can come close to us in reality in a 7 game series. I give Drew credit this year though, gutted it out and deserved that ring... guy was a warrior.
That being said, I think the Lakers should strongly consider benching Drew for the year and letting him only play in the playoffs! Just jokes, but man if we had him at 100%, we become so much better.
The only other real concern is 3 point shooting. I think we'll be okay, but I expect teams to zone up on us more this year and we were iffy and very streaky in the playoffs from 3. Blake will help, and Barnes can hit that corner 3 so we should be good.
