Mathews has already been named the starter. Sproles will still get plenty of carries.

It doesn't matter who is the starter anymore. Odds are they go with the hot hand approach a lot of teams do. If Sproles rips a few 8 yard runs and Matthews gets stuffed a few times early then you can bet Sproles will get more carries until he quits doing well despite Matthews starting.
