Albert Haynesworth will reportedly arrive early for training camp Wednesday in an effort to "reach out" to coach Mike Shanahan.
According to Chris Russell of 980 ESPN, Haynesworth has lost over 40 pounds and is "definitely in good shape." It's now believed that Haynesworth has accepted that "this is where he's going to be." Still driven primarily by financial considerations, he's opted against risking a portion of his $21 million bonus by trying force his way out of D.C.

McNabb, Trent Williams at LT, Jammal Brown at RT, Artis Hicks at RG. Devin Thomas has another year under his belt and is ready to explode. Chris Cooley and Fred Davis at TE (best TE duo in the league). If they can make a smooth switch to 3-4 (where Orakpo will be even more dangrous), I really don't see too many holes on this team.
Not saying they are the best, but they are very good.

If at best 8-8 is "very good" then i agree

There's a bunch of "ifs" there for them to be very good. IF Trent Williams plays well as a rookie. IF Artis Hicks is any good (he wasn't ever above average as far as I remember) and IF that oline can gel quickly. IF they can make a nice transition to a new defensive style, and if Haynesworth can play NT as opposed to DT. IF McNabb still has it. IF Devin Thomas has progressed. IF any of their running backs can stay healthy. Sure IF all of that happens they might be able to win the division. They will have to win some divisional games first though.

There are IF's for every team. IF Tony Romo plays well. IF Miles Austin is as good as he was last year. IF Dez Bryant plays well. IF the offensive line does okay without a good LT.

The difference in the IFs, is that Romo has played well for the past 3-4 years, is still fairly young, doesn't have a history of injuries, and isn't in a new offensive system. Dez Bryant doesn't have to be great with Williams, Crayton, Austin, Bennett, Witten, Barber, Jones, and Choice. All of Washington's RBs are washed up. I think Barber is about done too, but Jones is a stud and Choice could be the best RB3 on any depth chart. I agree with you on Austin and the LT. Dallas also has a much better defense, and they have already adjusted to the 3-4, unlike Washington who is in their first year of it. Most teams struggle the first year of that transition.
BTW I hate sticking up for the Cowboys. I feel really... just awful about myself right now.
