Is this Favre's last season?

I say yes.

I say no.

Depends. If Vikings flame out, he won't want to come back there to make another run since he didn't get any farther then last year.

There MIGHT be a team out there offering a 1 year just to sell seats, and who knows. Maybe Brett won't want to go out of his career with the Vikings, his HOF team's rival. So maybe he goes to a rebuilder just to have fun, increase the stats a bit, increase his fan base, and help mentor a QB on the rise. That would be a very respectful thing of Favre to do if he doesn't want to stay AS bitter to Packer's fans.

If Vikings make Superbowl and he wins, he's definitely done. If they lose it, then I think Favre will be too beaten down physically and mentally. Where then he could retire or do what I described above.

I actually do believe that this is it

Depends where the Vikings end up. Another NFC Championship exit or a Superbowl runner up would potentially entice him if he had a good year / no injuries.

Anything else he would probably retire.

Only way he finally retires is if he breaks something during a game.

I say yes. He will be 42 with an even dodgier ankle

I hope the decision isn't his to make. I hope it is made for him because I don't see Favre retiring until either he is physically removed from the game or until nobody wants him.
